Annapurna Circuit Trekking has another name as Round Annapurna Trek. Whatever the name is, the trip brings you an incredible opportunity to trek around the majestic mountains in the Annapurna range of the Himalaya. This trekking adventure is a beautiful and popular trip in Annapurna region.
 
The trek starts lower from cultural villages and traverses higher and different landscape, culture and life style, eventually reaching over the Thorong La pass to cross it and descend down towards Jomsom along the Kali Gandaki River.  Astounding views of the snow-capped mountains throughout the trekking adventure and experiencing the mountain cultural wonders make this trip completely overwhelming. You can explore the cultural wonders of Manang region and lower Mustang region when you reach Muktinath and then to Jomsom.

Itinerary

  • Day 01
    Arrival in Kathmandu
    It is the first day of trip and your arrival day in Kathmandu Nepal. When you land at the airport in Kathmandu and come out at the arrival lounge, our company representative will welcome you with a warm smile. Then we will drive you to the trip hotel where you can spend relaxing time. We will have a meeting in the evening to talk about the trip in details. 
     
  • Day 02
    Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
    After you take your breakfast, a beautiful day sightseeing tour of heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley is due today. Visit Swoyambhunath – the monkey temple; Patan Durbar Square – the medieval palace square; Pashupatinath – the open cremation ground for Hindus; and Boudhanath – the biggest Buddhist stupa. 
     
  • Day 03
    Kathmandu – Syange 1,101m
    Take breakfast and check out the hotel to start a long day drive. It will take you approximately 9 hours to reach Syange to the west of Kathmandu, the starting point of Annapurna Circuit Trek. The drive will introduce you with the countryside and rural life of Nepal. Enjoy the drive through small towns and villages along the highway and reach Syange to stay overnight.
     
  • Day 04
    Syange – Dharapani 1,960m
    Today is the first day of the trekking on the trail that goes around Annapurna mountain range. The trek will take you through beautiful terraced crop fields, charming local villages and some waterfalls. Before reaching Dharapani that is the stopover place for the day, you will have chance to experience so much of mountain magic. 
     
  • Day 05
    Dharapani – Chame 2,710m
    It’s a beautiful yet challenging day walk to Chame. It’s beautiful because of the overwhelming views of the mountains including Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II and Annapurna IV from the trail and challenging because the walk involves some steep ridge walking and landslide crossing. Nevertheless, about 7 hours of trekking journey is well spent before reaching Chame for the overnight.

  • Day 06
    Chame – Pisang 3,300m
    Start the day after breakfast and move ahead towards Pisang today. Walk through a densely forested area before finding yourselves in front of a rock face that rises above the river. We then enter a beautiful valley with magical view of mountains. Walking through this beautiful valley, you finally reach Pisang for the overnight stay.

  • Day 07
    Pisang – Manang 3,500m
    The walk from Pisang to Manang via upper Pisang gives you an opportunity to have spectacular view of Annapurna, Pisang and several other high soaring mountain peaks. A more or less 6 hours of walk via Geru takes you to Manang to stay overnight today. 
     
  • Day 08
    Acclimatization Day in Manang
    You will stay in Manang as an extra day to help you to adjust with high mountain climate. You can go for a side hiking trip to a higher elevation and come back to Manang for overnight stay. There are several options to go for hiking today. You can choose to do one of them. The hiking and staying overnight at the same place as previous night should prepare you to go to higher elevation tomorrow. 
     
  • Day 09
    Manang – Yak Kharka 4,010m
    Relish your breakfast with view and set off for the day’s trek. You are going to walk on proper walking trail here onwards. The walk to Yak Kharka today goes via Letdar and on a gentle pace. The acclimatization day yesterday has filled you with energy in abundance to go higher into the elevation. Leaving the Marshyangdi valley behind, you are advancing towards the famous Thorong La pass.

  • Day 10
    Yak Kharka – Thorang Phedi 4,420m
    A relatively shorter walk today takes us to Thorang Phedi, the base of Thorang La pass. Although a shorter walk, its mostly uphill walk today all the way up to Thorang Phedi. The trek today brings you a spectacular view of several mountain peaks including Thorung peak, Mt. Khatungkan, and Mt. Syagang. On reaching Thorang Phedi, you check into a tea house and relax to get ready for the ascent of Thorang La pass early morning tomorrow. 
  • Day 11
    Thorang Phedi – Thorang La 5416m – Muktinath 3802m
    Start the day very early today to ascend the trail towards Thorang La that stands at the elevation of 5,416 meters above sea level. The day is also the highlight of the trip as it takes you to the highest elevation on the trip. A slow paced four hours’ walk up the mountain brings you to the incredible Thorang La pass. After crossing the pass, you head down towards Muktinath. Reach Muktinath, relax and be happy on your achievement on the Himalayas. 
  • Day 12
    Muktinath – Jomsom 2,700m
    Take your breakfast at Muktinath and start the trek for the day to Jomsom. Today is the last day of the trek that comes to an end when you reach Jomsom. Enjoy the last day of the trek to its most at the beautiful Himalayan landscape. Check into a hotel and go for a relaxing exploration of the town for the rest of the day. 
     
  • Day 13
    Jomsom – Pokhara 900m
    Take an early morning flight to Pokhara. Although a short flight of about 20 minutes, the flight brings some stunning mountain views to your sight. Once you reach your hotel, you can explore the beauty Pokhara. You can go for boating and wandering around the lakeside.
     
  • Day 14
    Pokhara – Kathmandu 1400m
    Take a drive back to Kathmandu. About six hours on the highway will give you time to observe the villages and towns on the way from a different angle. After reaching Kathmandu and checking into hotel, you will have some free time to wander around the streets of Thamel. 
     
  • Day 15
    Departure Day
    We will drive you to airport for the departure flight three prior to your flight schedule.
